"Mr. Nitrous" puts NX on his ZR-1 LT5 Corvette!

When you order racing products from Nitrous Warehouseyou have the satisfaction of knowing that you paid the lowest price for the best racing products in the industry.
John Stewart, a.k.a. "Mr. Nitrous", was the Founder, Engineer and former CEO/President of Nitrous Express. John invented the patented "Vortech Nozzle", "Shark Nozzle" (U.S. Patent 5699776, and the "Gemini Twin Bar Plate" (U.S. Patent 5743241).

John Stewart's latest endeavor was Nitrous Warehouse, and we will continue to provide our customers with the most innovative, hardcore racing products available and...the "drop-dead" prices don't hurt anything either;-)

If you're looking for someone to placate your ego (ask your girlfriend what that means)...you're in the wrong place!  "Mrs. Nitrous" and her team  will tell you what you need to know to reach that ultimate goal of the finish line!  There are no "second place winners".  You now have a direct source to the most knowledgeable and plain spoken consumer advocate that makes the manufacturers of "all show, no go" products cringe!  All you have to do is listen and want it!!

Mr. Nitrous' ZR-1!

02/19/99 - I recently installed a new design "Gemini-Twin" (2) nozzle, (150-225-300/HP) system on my '91 ZR-1 Corvette.   Installation took approx. six hours for system, fully automatic bottle heater, and purge valve (clean, neat, and tidy) on my "baby".  I started with the 150hp setting and test drove it immediately.  Made mistake-left shock setting on TOUR.   Could hardly see over front of car and swore to myself, "that if I lived through this, I was going to rename my vette GUARD-RAIL HUNTER.  I traveled 1/4 mi. in the 1/8 mi., and I'll tell you that nothing will stop with FEAR pushing on the brake pedal on a ZR-1.  Thanks GM!

I turned around, switched the shocks to PERFORMANCE, enjoyed my adrenaline high for a couple of minutes and tried again.  UNBELIEVABLE!   Went straight home and changed to the 225hp setting.  Here we go again!   First gear, moderate spin (thanks MICHELIN MX PILOTS) instant 7200rpm, great second gear shift, instant 7200rpm, awesome third gear click and off we go!  As I went by 100mph, a phenomena happened, my 5' x 2' windshield sucked down to 12" x 6" viewing area (talk about tunnel-vision) and banged 7200rpm (122mph), and I shut it off!   Great brakes again!! (Hurray for ABS)

CAN YOU SAY UNREALLLL!!!!

Based on experience, I guess-stimate 10.80 ET, at approx. 132mph (1/4 mi. time).

I will take it to Houston International Raceway as soon as my custom-made, 6-point chrome, bolt-in cage is finished, and will publish the results with official time slips to back it up.

This system is a virtual twin of the system we install on the Vipers.  BRING THEM ON!  Are they in for a big surprise!!

That's all for now!

04/25/99 - Thanks to everyone for asking and commenting on our ZR-1.   We have had many request for a list of the NX nitrous components, as well as the other parts that we have added.  We will list the nitrous components first ;^)   Then the other parts and anything else that has been done...the list is growing!

This is the system that we currently have on our '91 ZR-1: "Gemini-Twin"
dual nozzle/single stage (100-150-225-300/hp) w/ 15lb bottle (Upgraded from 10lb. bottle)

We have installation available and it takes ALLLLL day!  This is a "hidden" system, and we defy anyone to find it...they would have to disassemble the car ;o))
Also, we hide the bottle inside a "gym bag", ours has a red one and we've
done some black ones.  Depending on the color of your car or interior, we
can usually come pretty close to a suitable match.

Needed accessories:

    Fully Automatic Bottle Heater
We like the bottle pressure between 900psi (87F degrees) and 1050psi (97F
degrees) for optimum performance in conjunction with our jetting pattern
which determines the true hp of the system.  The heater automatically takes
the bottle to 1050psi, then shuts off and comes back on when the psi drops
to 900psi or below.  This is controlled by a pressure transducer (included
with the heater).  Also provided is a 60 amp straight relay w/ wiring
harness, manifold to connect transducer to the bottle, lighted red toggle to
activate the heater, and the heater is 12.75" x 5.25", rated at 240 watts.
Without the "Fully Automatic Bottle Heater", there is literally no way to
insure the correct pressure.  Cold is like Kryptonite to nitrous!

Nitrous Gauge
This indicates the pressure of the bottle and has nothing to do with the volume.

Fuel Pressure Safety Switch
if there is ever a failure of the fuel delivery system (psi drops below the
determined psi of the fuel-rail), this adjustable "safety switch" cuts off
both (fuel & nitrous) solenoids.

NHRA Blow-Down Kit
A MUST have to run on any NHRA track, includes blow-off cap rated at
3000psi, blow-down tube w/fittings to vent bottle outside the car,
remember...the bottle is installed inside the ZR-1, because it does not have
a trunk.

Purge Kit
On a scientific level: Purges gaseous nitrous from the line (especialy on
hot days by dropping the bottle pressure if it's over 1050psi), assuring
that the gaseous nitrous doesn't cause a "stumble" in the system when
engaged.  On an EGO level:  Announces to the world that you are someone to be
reckoned with! ;^))))

Nitrous Filter (Lifetime/Cleanable)
Insures that trash will not get into your bottle, line, or nitrous solenoid causing it to fail.  Silly analogy:  It's a condom for your nitrous system ;^)

Upgrade 10lb to 15lb bottle
The system includes a 10lb. bottle, but with a 15lb. bottle you will always
have 5lbs. more and won't have to fill your bottle as much (once you feel
the power and ease of leaving those Vipers, Cobras, Mustangs, Firehawks, and
any of those exotic foreign cars far behind...you won't leave home without
it!).  Also, it's worth about one tenth, because the bottle pressure doesn't
drop off as hard.

Extra 10lb or 15lb bottle
You don't want to be left "hanging in the wind"...do you?

Naturally I use all of the above, not because I sell them...but because they
make the nitrous system complete.

Stay tuned..."Mr. Nitrous"

(Unfortunately, John "Mr. Nitrous" Stewart" passed away March 15, 2002, and the car was sold.)
