105 Special Alternator

The "105 Special" Street One-Wire Alternator gives you the opportunity to add current technology to your electrical system. It only weighs 10 Lbs.! Older 10-SI type alternators only produce 12 to 20 amps at idle, the "105 Special" produces 42 amps at idle. That's more than twice as much amps available to you at idle! As the name implies, the "105 Special" has a maximum output of 105 amps which is more than ample for most hot rods.
The "105 Special" will improve your battery reliability and durability
because it is much better at meeting the demands of your accessories and ignition system. The design and operation of this alternator is noticeably less noisy than older 10-SI style alternators. The "105 Special" will mount into most stock brackets. Our 3" steel billet pulley with cooling vents is included. The "105 Special" is new, not rebuilt.

5.0 130 Amp Alternator

Replace the low amperage alternator on your 5.0 with the 130 amp unit from Performance Distributors. This is a brand new alternator that includes the regulator, internal fan, pulley and wiring harness. It mounts in the factory location of 86-93 Mustangs with minor grinding work to the stock bracket. Great for use with underdrive pulleys!

Mr. Amp Alternator

The new Mr. Amp alternator from Performance Distributors produces a maximum output of 130 amps and 65 amps at idle. Mr. Amp will keep your accessories operating at their peak performance level and will maximize your ignition systems output. The Mr. Amp alternator will help eliminate battery drain on applications using underdrive pulleys. This alternator is designed with a heavy duty regulator and internal fan which leads to greater durability. Mr. Amp comes with an installation kit and easy to follow instructions for converting your old weak alternator to this system. Due to the high output of the Mr. Amp, a thermal circuit breaker and 6 gauge lead wire is included. The Mr. Amp alternator is available for non-computer controlled Chevy, Ford and AMC applications.

8.5 lb. Mini Racing Alternator

Lighten up your race car with Performance Distributors' 8.5 lb Mini Racing Alternator! Just run one wire from the alternator to a positive battery connection and you're ready to run. The unit starts charging at approximately 1600 - 1900 rpms. 14.5 to 14.9 volts is maintained keeping your ignition system at its peak level. Dual internal fans keep the mini alternator very cool and durable. A 2.8" diameter deep groove pulley is included.

 

 

Racing One-Wire Alternator

Our Racing Alternators are completely remanufactured and converted to a one wire hook up. Just run one wire from this alternator to a positive battery connection and you're ready to race. The 5" diameter pulley slows the alternator by 50% and the deep groove insures belt retention in all out racing. Our steel billet pulley is superior to aluminum pulleys because it resist wear better.
Get the edge on your competition by keeping your battery charged the entire race. In the past, many racers have been reluctant to run an alternator. New technology is now making it
advantageous to run one. On a fully charged battery, it pulls less than one horsepower and when combined with electronic ignition, you actually gain horsepower. The 14+ volts an alternator provides, leads to a hotter spark in the ignition system than the 12 volts you receive from just running off the battery. Also, realize that the 12 volts may drop down to 11 or less after a night of racing. When the voltage drops, spark intensity is lost and so is maximum rpm and horsepower. The Racing Alternator will prevent voltage drop-off.
Get even more power by adding 2 more volts to your system. Our 16 volt Racing Alternator allows you to run a whopping .065" spark plug gap with our Racing D.U.I. Ignition. Other brands may not be capable of handling the extra voltage. This unit works great with our Dry Cell Super Batteries.

Ford One-Wire Street Alternator

Our One-Wire Alternators make a neat installation in your car's engine compartment. All you need to run is one wire from the alternator to a positive battery connection. You can connect to the starter solenoid or directly to the positive side of the battery. The standard unit has 60 amps but higher amperage units are available for vehicles having additional accessories.
The street alternators include our new 3" High Tech Pulley made of steel billet. The extra deep groove in this pulley insures belt retention.

 

GM One-Wire Street Alternator

The GM Street One-Wire Alternator will make for a neat installation in your engine compartment. It only requires one hot wire from the alternator to a positive battery connection. It can be connected to the positive side of the battery or to the positive side of the starter solenoid. The standard unit has 63 amps but higher amperage units are available.
The street alternators include our new 3" High Tech Pulley made of steel billet. The extra deep groove in this pulley insures belt retention.

Chrome One-Wire Alternators are available for Ford and GM. The high quality chrome finish resists chipping and will enhance the appearance of your engine compartment. Includes 3" chrome pulley.
