Street/Strip Coil Kit

The D.U.I. (Davis Unified Ignition) Street/Strip Coil Kit fires up to 7000 rpm's. This kit includes the coil, brass terminal cap and rotor, and nylon rotor hold down screws. The D.U.I. Street/Strip Coil Kit also allows spark plug gaps to be opened up to .055" due to the higher voltage output. Great for cold starts and plug fouling!

Race Coil Kit

The D.U.I. Racing Coil Kit is capable of 9000 rpm's. That's almost twice the output of a stock HEI coil! The coil comes installed in a brass terminal cap and includes the rotor and nylon rotor hold down screws.
Spark plug gaps can be widened to between .050" - .055" because of the higher voltage output of this coil kit. The wider plug gaps will allow more spark energy into the combustion chamber providing a better burn of the fuel mixture and increasing horsepower. The kit fits on ALL internal HEI coil applications.

Screamin' Demon Coils

The Screamin' Demon Coils are designed to produce an exceptional spark throughout the entire RPM range with virtually no drop in power. Stock coils are notorious for falling off as RPM goes up. Our Screamin' Demon Coil has been dyno tested providing 3 more horsepower at 5000 rpm over stock coils. The Screamin' Demon has a brass terminal for which your coil wire attaches to. The brass terminal is more conductive than the stock aluminum terminal and will resist corrosion longer. Plug gaps can be widened to .060" due to the energy of this coil. The wider spark plug gap will allow more spark energy into the combustion chambers providing more power and improved mileage. The Screamin' Demon is too "hot" for stock plug wires. 8 mm spiral core wires are highly recommended. The Screamin' Demon is an externally mounted coil.

Inferno Coil Kit

The "Inferno" Coil Kit was designed to outperform all other aftermarket coils. You get everything you need in this kit for a complete coil installation. The kit includes our "Inferno" coil and an ultra conductive coil wirein order to provide you with maximum conductivity. We have tested the coil to withstand extremely high temperatures and engine heat. If you presently have or later install a tachometer, for your convenience we have included all necessary hardware to complete this hookup. Primary hookup wires are already connected to the coil. Available for electronic and breaker point ignitions.

4 Pin Dyna-Mod

For a crisper, smoother running engine, replace your stock HEI module with the Dyna-Mod. The Dyna-Mod has more "electronic dwell" in it to provide more coil saturation time. The additional saturation time allows the coil to produce a more intense spark. Our Street/Strip and Racing D.U.I. Distributors require our 4-pin Dyna-Mod.

7 Pin Dyna-Mod

The 7 pin Dyna-Mod is designed with more electronic dwell for your computer controlled HEI. With the increased dwell time, the coil will saturate longer to create a more intense spark. Quicker starting, better throttle response and more low end power will be gained by replacing your stock module with the 7 pin Dyna-Mod.

DUI Rev Limiter

Protect your engine from over revving with the DUI Rev Limiter. The D.U.I. Rev Limiter drops one cylinder at a time very smoothly. This prevents fuel from loading up on the plugs. This also avoids backfires and engine damage. Set your RPM limit with plug-in modules. A 6000, 7000 and 8000 RPM module is included with the rev limiter. Other RPM increment modules are available separately if needed. This unit works great with our GM, Ford and AMC DUI distributors.

Adjustable Timing Control

The Adjustable Timing Control gives the driver hand control of the timing advance. The knob allows up to 15 degrees of adjustment. You can eliminate engine damaging detonation with a turn of a knob. If you're towing heavy weight, this puts a tremendous load on the motor. The ability to control the timing allows you to retard the timing while you are towing. When you unhitch your load, return your timing to its normal setting. This unit works great with our custom tuned distributors.
Under dirt track racing conditions, you may want to use this control to get better traction in the corners. Just retard the timing to reduce the power, hook-up better and avoid sliding. Advance the control on the straight-aways. WARNING: Advancing the timing is recommended for racing applications only as advancing your engine's timing may be illegal in some states. Finger-Tip Retard System

The research staff at Performance Distributors has developed the most racer friendly timing retard system available. The "Finger-Tip" retard with push button control is easy to use, easy to install and very effective.

Why do you need a timing retard? Because under some racing conditions, full advance does not always give you peak performance. If you think you have too much horsepower in your motor, simply push the button and instantly retard your advance. Hook-up better. Pass easier. Retarding the timing can also save on brake wear.

How does the "Finger-Tip" retard work? It is a three piece system-a push button, retard knob and a retard box. We suggest mounting the push-button in a convenient location, such as on your steering wheel for easy access. The retard knob should be mounted in the driver's compartment. Mount the retard box on the firewall or inside your race car.

During your practice laps, test how much retard works best for your set-up and track. While you are in the pits, coordinate the finger-tip retard with your timing light. Then place a mark on the retard knob label corresponding to various amounts of retard. See how much retard works best for you. For example, if you are running 40 degrees of total advance, you may want to retard 10 degrees, giving you 30 degrees total under certain conditions. The great advantage to this system is its selectivity. By the way, the "Finger-Tip" retard works great in conjunction with our custom tuned mechanical advance distributors!

Billet Livewire Separators

Performance Distributors Livewires are built with a protective heat sleeve that covers the entire length of the wire. Trying to fit the Livewires in factory wire separators is virtually impossible. Nylon zip ties can be used to keep the wires separated but they do not offer a show quality appearance. This led us to build a billet wire loom that will not only keep the wires apart, but offer good looks as well. These billet separators are held together with allen head screws which are mounted flush within the loom. These separators are designed specifically for the Livewires and will not pinch or damage the protective heat sleeving. Battery and Tachometer Connectors

These plastic insulators and brass terminals make your power supply connection and tach connection to the DUI Distributor super easy! They plug directly into the cap and coil assembly and the locking tabs prevent lost connections due to vibration. The Battery and Tach Connectors are priced separately so one each will be needed for the hot wire and tach hookup.
Battery and Tachometer Connectors are included with AMC, Ford, Chrysler and Toyota DUI Distributors.
